Also as you can see in the birth scene, the praetomorph has a complete skeletal structure where as I believe that a true xenomorph has an exo skeleton more akin to a crustacean. Which of course is far inferior to the xeno chest bursted as it had to learn balance and any breaks that occur at this stage could be in one way or another fatal😊

one way to make it easier to explain all these variants is that the xenomorphs are such a genetically unstable species that genetic mutations (and probably cancer lol) happens all the time in the species and the variations we see in the series is because the xenomorphs of those variants come from queens that have more viable and dominant mutations that didnt impede them negatively enough (or at all) for them to eventually molt from drones into queens and thus proliferate their mutations by way of spawning their offspring. with the insane rate at which the xenomorphs reproduce it would be very likely for this to happen. more offspring in a short amount of time typically results in mutations occuring faster in a given demographic simply by way of chance and reproduction rate. given that xenomorphs are generally eusocial it would make sense that the other drones of the hive the mutated drones belong to would help their mutated brethrens to survive to such a state (i think at least).

I find it an interesting thought-experiment: the Xenomorph crossovers. Especially the Mortal Kombat crossover. We saw variants of the Tarkatan Xenomorph, but what about a Shokan Xenomorph? Or an Elemental Xenomorph? What if Shang Tsun was able to get his hands on a Xenomorph and experiment on it?

Neca toy line has a panther alien also. The mantis, gorilla, and rhino are in the same series. Panther is a lot like the runner though so you may have just counted it as that one.

They need to make an alien 5, sequel to 4 with the ruined earth. Crash near a zoo or similar and the eggs end up near animals and creating some nice versions eg gorilla, crocodile etc
