Thanks soo much for the video, it saved me thousands of dollars. I went to Freightliner dealership to adjust or change clutch brake and they told me there is something wrong with transmission. I told them, don't touch it. I'll fix it my self. So I went on YouTube and check how to adjust the clutch. It took me about an hour to adjust it. Thanks for all the videos here. We save a lot of money.

I first worked in a truck garage in 1974. There was a poster on the wall that showed the proper way to adjust a double disk class 8 truck clutch. The first thing to do is adjust your clutch brake with the external linkage. Your method does not allow for linkage wear or possible replacement of the linkage. After the clutch brake is adjusted with the external linkage then the clutch is adjusted to the throwout bearing. I’m still drinking and working on trucks at 77.

Any new mechanics will greatly appreciate the manual adjusting mechanical linkage Easy Pedal clutches over hydraulic adjustable type . Mark the vibration dampener where your adjusting bolt is aligned with the inspection hole cover plate .

You want 1/8 in from fork to throw out bearing. That will put your pedal where it needs to be.
