It's the future for the last 10 years already...

It’s too good to be true “right this second”. Hydrogen cells are getting better and more efficient by the day, amazon itself invested in them, and they’re infinitely times cleaner than lithium mines. and the more funding they get the sooner they’ll be introduced. I’d seriously invest. I did.

It will be 100% green energy because we can find hydrogen on trees, right?

Crazy to think something from like 200 yrs ago could be the future of energy but then again im sure divinci had a diagram for a combustion engine way before they were supposedly in use 😅

70% efficient? Rubbish. The round trip is more like 40% efficient.

lol 70% efficient if you don't count just about everything else needed to make it usable and back into electricity. More like 25% efficient if you have to liquefy it for transportation and storage. Let's have some real-world examples. One of the largest new hydrogen generators estimates about 65kWh/kg. Then if you have to liquify it, it's another 12kWh/kg, making it 77kWh/kg. That drives a current Fuel cell car about 65 miles. Take that same 77kWh of electricity and store it in a battery you get 73kWh in the battery, then drive it and you get 293 miles. 292/65 is 4.5 times more electricity needed. Imagine needing to install 4.5 times more solar or 4.5 times more wind turbines to drive the same miles.

The economics of hydrogen for energy does not make sense

Funny how I had a watch that was entirely powered by water, about 35 years ago.

70% efficient, ya I don't think so. Maybe on just one side, but not in total, especially when you add it compression and transportation.

Also, it's doesn't appear to be commonlu known, but mosy Hydrogen is made using natural gas, which is likley how it would still be made if a huge demand for it rose. Further, another not so well known feature of Hydrogen is it's a greenhouse gas itself. If Hydrogen leaks out and gets into the atmopshere, it impedes the natrual process that removes Methane from the atmosphere, so it stays up their longer than usual. So Hydrogen compounds with methane, which means it actually contributes to a 20-80x greenhouse effect, depending on various circumstances.

Not trying to be negative, just realistic. It is likely that Hydrogen is being used to greenwash fossil fuels like Methane while giving the natural gas insdustry better profits. Hydrogen, by volume, has only a quarter of the energy Methane can produce. So, they will have to use 4 times the amount to produce an equivilant amount of power from Hudrogen. They'll also have to ship 4 times the amount as well, to give the amount of energy we currently expect.

There is a catalyst that can keep hydrogen in liquid form under ambient temperature and pressure.

Fyi. Use can put a link in a short that takes viewer to your video. Much better than an inactive url in the description. Fyi.

There's too many problems in that system. You've got 2 different materials coming out of water. 2 different metals that react to different materials. And the amount of power you have to put in to get adjuration out. Isn't that efficient?

How are you getting electricity out of hydrogen

Everyone has heard the story of the guy that was murdered for creating a water fueled automobile. If you discover his secret, I suggest you just give away the technology to as much people as possible for free instead of trying to patent it. They will get you too and the technology will be gone 😢

This is not industrially viable
A) water purification to certain way at certain level is additional cost
Every 5 kilometer water has a different composition and impurities
Sea water need to be Salinated before processing for this application

Dont store the hydrogen. Scale up production system to produce enough on demand hydrogen to power the car's motor. Make the system removable so parking car in cold climate doaent freeze the system.
