FORD 64 - The Movie

My grandfathers 1964 Ford Falcon receives a full restoration after sitting in a garage, unused for more than 25 years. This particular model is a Ford Falcon XM Deluxe with the 170 straight 6, Super Pursuit Engine and 2 speed Ford-O-Matic transmission. This is the same car seen in the Australian TV series called Wonderland. This video shows some of the restoration work which took approx 9 months (albeit weekends).

The XM is a beautiful car. We had an identical twin of this car from 1974 until it was written off in a car crash in 1981. It was a manual blue body white roof. Extremely reliable well built and free of rust.

Well preserved if it was sitting for 25 years! I just got hold of a coupe - only sitting for 10 years and looks a lot worse. Great job on the resto - very inspiring.

These were great cars here in the States too. I had 3 of them.

I had a lump in my throat, good video, I had plans to do the same, same model but wagon. Paid $10 in Toowoomba, in 2001. Had been a chicken coup, sold it 2 years later, no repairs at all $500. happy with profit but sad to see it go

That isn't a 64. I owned 2 of them and a 65
