R/T 5.7 budget build?!😱😱

Best mods for a 5.7 hemi R/t charger, challenger, ram, 300c, 300s, magnum, ect

As a former scat owner, I can attest to this persoally. I got smoked by an RT with longtube headers, an open air intake, a tune and some supporting upgrades. My car was stock. It was a drag race behind an empty warehouse.

I went Hellcat intake, 392 manifold, 3” competition headers, catless mids, cam, injectors, throttle body, 3.09 rear LSD, engine and trans tune, lowered .5” in the back and 1/4” in the front. Scats can’t keep up

The 6.1 eagle intake is better for the 345. Paired with the 93mm and longtubes. When you do the long tubes and intake, you're lowering the rpm that makes max tq. Your widen your power band. This is what makes it feel stronger. If you took a gm, ford, and mopar, the mopar achieves max tq lower and longer than the other 2.

5.7 is such a good platform. N/A and boosted. Got a buddy pushing just north of 400 to the wheel N/A

People will want to argue this but if you actually spend alot of time at 1/8th mile tracks like myself you will realize that a stock scat and a stock r/t only run two tenths off of each other 90 percent of the time. So with the mods this guy just laid out you will be more than easily beating stock scat packs. Back in the earlier challengers people were pretty regularly taking like 11 classic r/ts m6 super track packs with the 3.92 lsd bone stock with a set of slicks in the back and turning 7.8s - 8.3s pretty consistently. Now im only seeing 8 speeds running anywhere from 8.4 on a good tire to 8.9 even 9 on stock tires.

For those that say just buy a scat pack. Real car guys love shocking people while spending less money keep the change. Work smarter not harder. Plus i keep hearing that the 5.7L internals are stronger.

5.7’s with stock internals on 6lbs of boost make scatpack hp so if you do this and then go boost. Best believe you’ll be on hellcats ass not to mention weight reduction is always an option

Thats basically what imma do to my 08 rt but wit out the 392 manifold im just doin suspension and tires first to make sure it can handle it

I have long tubes and 6.4 intake… custom tuned.. the car fucking eats and sounds amazing

The 5.7 is a great platform to build first and foremost.
My Ram was pushing stock crank hp and tq numbers at the wheels running a setup similar to this(aprox 400-420)
My most important upgrade was the kitty lifters and hardened pushrods. After these mods have been done.

Open the Crank up with a factory forged 6.1 crank, run mahle forged pistons and rods. Gap appropriately then think about adding boost. I got up to 600whp before moving on as I wanted it to still he somewhat dependable. RCSB

I have a 2011 lifted grand cherokee with a k&n intake, hooker headers, magnaflow high flow cats before they got pulled off the shelves, borla cat back so far. I want to switch to American racing long tubes

BBK Long tubes, catted mid pipes, Texas speed stage 2 cam, stock intake manifold made 435 wheel hp. And 415 lb ft torque. A little less torque than a 392 but about the same power

I love the 6.4 but man the 5.7 sounds crazy with the right exhaust

Stage 3 cam with stock hellcat top end parts make 450 wheel easy with a good tune (scats make 415ish), stock exhaust and intake manifolds. Don’t need all that extra stuff.

Did this to my 2023 ram 1500 big horn but I got bigger injectors, catch can, 85mm throttle body, arp studs and it pushes 520hp, different exhaust setup too but we’ll worth the money

Might be short on hp with this list. Let’s not forget ported heads as well. With a really aggressive cam, you might get 440-450 at best

Go with a decent cam, MSD Hemi6, a nice manifold with dual quads, some long tubes...
