I love John Macarthur and have benefitted beyond measure from his ministry. He's wrong on this one, though

People forget that not all the people on the Ark were descendants of Noah. Noah's sons brought their wives onto the Ark. The wives of Noah's sons were not descendants of Noah or else they would have been called Noah's daughters. This is how the line of the giants may have survived the flood and still have been alive during David's time.

The Bible makes clear, “all flesh died”
All flesh means all flesh. Everyone and everything died except which was on the ark

It is very good when we talk about nepheline and of course you know as human beings we like supernatural things, Giants hybrids, vampires wolf etc goes and all those things curiosity but when you really see the real interpretation of the scripture is just so simple the gospel is simple but we as human beings we make everything hard all the time.

Love John, but this was a great opportunity for him to show some intellectual humility. At the very least, he might have said, there are various interpretations of this matter. That said, there are many places in the Bible that point to his being wrong here. And then there are the extra-Biblical texts (like Enoch I). This is an example of where John's dogmatism gets in the way of his message.

All of you saying he is wrong or right, whether you agree or not… who cares? Who are you trying to edify with your comment? It is up to YOU to workout your OWN salvation with fear and trembling. Seek discernment from the Holy Spirit and be humble - quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger.

Absolutely love, JM. Actually, one of my go too on theology, however I think you’re wrong in this case. And the Hebrew, the Sons of God the name is called Bené Elohim. Every time that term is used in the Bible is referred to the angels and the Old Testament. It’s used like three or four times every single time it refers to Angels you can find it a few times in the book of Job. I think this discussion is inconsequential. It’s a side conversation among Christian that ultimately doesn’t really matter. However, I think it’s impossible to avoid the conclusion That the sons of God were not ordinary men, and they did have relations with Women. I guess we’ll find out for sure in heaven thank you John for all the work that you do so much love for your brother

I don't agree with Dr McArthur on this one. He also ignores the part that says "...when the sons of God went in unto the daughters of men"....If we want to reduce it all to the carnal realm that we are accustomed to, then why should the union of like flesh produce some remarkable offspring. Also Dan 2:43 lends more credence to the view that he dismisses. There is a "they" there which is other than mankind. In my view, when we refer to carnality among Christian's, it goes beyond living a sinful life led by the flesh, but also extends to this incredulity about spiritual things and wanting to explain everything through one's fleshly experiences. That's what at the end of the day leads the esteemed Dr to also dismiss spiritual gifts today. I do hold the man of God in high esteem though
Very sound on most other things.

He is wrong on this one ..The good thing is that this isn't a salvation issue but an interpretation issue

He is wrong. The Nephilim were giants and they were not mere men. They were offspring of the Watchers and human women.

I was always told angels, good or fallen, where neither male or female. If that be the case, angels did/do not have sexual genitalia to allow them to mate with humans.

God raised up good and faithful men in order to testify of God's Glory on the earth through those who walk in humility and surrender to Jesus(Yeshua), judge and you will be judged in accordance, is John catholic?

I have to agree with the majority here. I love John MacArthur, but I don't think he is correct on this one.

He made a mistake mentioning the new testament while he meant the old testament

The LXX say angelus where quran and masoretic say Bnai Elohim. The more RATIONAL explanation is those were not men.

They were hybrid men. Men of renown…. Hercules, Achilles, etc….. he’s downgrading what they were. Iron mixed with clay. They are abominations to God. Not just bad men. Monsters. This is how the church was lost in the last 6 decades. Downgrading.
