Oh my goodness, Jay. This video is great, like world-shatteringly great. I've been struggling with all of this for so long. Skepticism or God? Nihilism or purpose? Is it inconsistent to say you don't know if the transcendentals are real, and then to go on infinitely that you don't know? If that's the case, how can we have the certainty we do about perception? As you say, the perception we have, which is not based on sense data, naturally implies a perceiver. But how can this be the case? How can it be the case that we can't doubt the transcendentals without using the transcendentals unless we can be certain that they're justified?

All of these questions were answered immediately by the one thing you said: revelation is the basis, not a Kantian self-isolation in the mind. That was the piece that all of this was missing. We can have certain knowledge of the self, of our perceptions, of logical principles. The only way we can have this is if they are certainly justified- there's no room for doubt, and anyone who thinks so should sit on a bed of nails and try to doubt that they are perceiving a stabbing pain. And, even more so, all of this is based on revelation, which comes from God, who Himself grounds all of these things and needs no justification other than Himself. It doesn't come from some strange essence, or from empirical claims.
