I’m going into the infantry and then, after a couple years of getting the infantryman’s mindset, commission as an LT. My goal is to increase the lethality of the US Army through superior logistics. Furthermore, through properly maneuvering units in conjunction with one another, maximize the combat effectiveness of any unit I am put in command of.

Soooo many haters in the comments. West Point is an institution that seeks young men and women who have demonstrated that they have the potential to do well academically and to lead soldiers. The reason they spent money on adverts is because not enough people really know about the Academy.

What are the physical demands that are needed for a science major at West Point?

They should increase the max age to get in, there are plenty of talented and smart enough people whose life got in the way. Increase it to at least age 25. Some people have the intelligence, character and ability necessary but they either had a chaotic childhood that got in the way or were set up to fail by some of the people in their K-12 education. Those people realize their potential in their early 20s and sometimes do better than people who bloomed early. What I am saying is, don't cut out the people who aren't 18-19 or early 20s, there are plenty of people in their mid 20s who could be taught and trained just as well as people right out of high school. Not everybody is set up in life to succeed, but there are several who come from less privileged circumstances who could succeed in flying colors at this level academically and professionally if they were only given the opportunity.
