this also explains why reading the car manual really matters. Thanks for clarifying it Speedlab!

For people that know how to drive a manual car, this would've been obvious! Which is why in the early days, manual cars were much more fuel efficient than auto cars as people can drive conservatively for fuel efficiency better. But nowadays, I think the computers have caught up.

transmission shift point and throttle sensitivity perhaps

Hi sir! Not related to the video, but i would like to say that I'm a living proof that remapping really makes super TIPID in fuel consumption.

My ranger from 8km/L to 11km/L city driving. And 12km/L to 18km/L on highway!

Same modes are present in Manual fortuners too. What do the modes affect in those cars ?

I have a 2.8 with manual transmission and you feel that the fuel injection comes in more, a lot earlier than in normal mode. It's can't have anything to do with the transmission because I shift the gears myself

But on our MT Innova there is also those 2 buttons. I thought the eco and power button is just like those aftermarket throttle controllers.

Good day sir, so i can always ise the eco mode even in highways at high speed? Guilty of not reading the manual 😊, just following what other user says that only use eco mode in traffic then shift to normal mode on highways....

How about for manual transmission with the PWR and ECO mode? Will it limit the max RPM on ECO while you can reach the highest RPM possible with PWR? Is that how it works when in a manual transmission? Thanks

What about if i have mt and put the eco mode and i reach 6.000 rpm? and then put sport mode and i reach the same rpm? Because maybe if you have automatic eco mode shift at lowest rpm and if i put sport probably do it at highest rpm but if i have manual transmission?

I have kia sorento 2.2 turbo diesel manual transmission and i only feel a change with normal vs sport mode with the strong steering wheels and maybe a little bit strong aceleration.
Also the torque but im.not sure

Can you please recommend an auto shop in metro manila who does ECU remapping of 2010 Toyota Innova 2kd ftv D4D 2500cc with automatic transmission. Thank you

Ang tanong need ba on ang eco mode kahit naka remap ka na or pede off ang eco mode ano mas maganda hatak at tipid sa gasolina

will I still get similar fuel consumption between the eco and normal modes? eco mode feels sluggish in the lower gears on a manual transmission

Hi! This may be an off topic question but, similar lang ba sa Eco and Power mode ang Overdrive in some cars? Correct me if I'm wrong since parang similar ang pagkaka-explain mo po. And based sa research ko sa Overdrive mode, it is recommended to turn it off when going on a steep hill since hindi maaachieve ang highest gear, but higher ang RPM.

But if naka-on naman (which is by default), hindi ganun ka-gutom sa RPM ang car, attainable ang highest gear, will save some gas, but lesser power.

So in a way, O/D On = Eco mode, O/D Off = Power mode? Or hindi rin hehe, thank you!

Which is a better upgrade, remap or throttle controller? Or is it better to have both?

ang alam ko sa eco mode open throttle nya 2:4 tas sa normal 3:4 tas sa power mode 4:4 manual transmission gamit ko eh... nothing to do with transmission maririnig mo ugong ng makina masmalakas pg nk power mode at masmabilis tumaas rpm nya walang kinalaman yong transmision kung gusto ko masmaaga/late mag shift. innova 2.8 gd engine gamit ko

stupid explanation.

then how do you explain the big difference in the fuel consumption meter when you drive using different modes (eco, normal, pwr) kung hindi nya naapektuhan ang amount ng power ng engine at certain rpm.

and how will that two buttons control the shift points in manual transmission?

does it control the brain of the driver to manually shift at high rpm when in power mode and low rpm in eco mode? haha
