Join me in my reaction video as I debunk the myths and misinformation surrounding ECU remapping. From separating fact from fiction, to providing accurate information on the benefits and risks of this practice, you won't want to miss this eye-opening analysis. Get ready to learn the truth about ECU remapping and separate the real deal from the fake news! Remember folks, FB Groups are the dumbest place for you to ask about performance modifications, it's literally the blind leading the blind. And it takes someone like me to point out how severely wrong these people are.

Remapping is a personal choice. Everything depends on the throttle input. Remapping will use your more fuel only if you wish to always utilise the full power of the car which is also a very rare case. It’s basically just for a better response of how we like. It is a personal preference

Standard car mappings are usually conservative to allow for low quality gasoline in other areas in the world, if you live somewhere where the gasoline is 98/95 compared to for instance 85 there is quite a lot of leeway in the aggressiveness of the tuning possible powerwise.

Our montero gtv remapped by speedlab . Now 3 years already still ok . More power less consumption on fuel.

Sobrang dalang ng mga reliable fb groups regarding asking info and details on something. Puro mga cyber typer lang, type lang ng type, hindi nagiisip or walang isip. Inuuna kasi nila ang kayabangan, may masabi lang, gustong sumikat o magpasikat! This video will hit them on another level 😊

Marko and Ronald are examples of what gives internet a bad name. If you talk about factory and manufacturer w/o working for any car brand is just misconception. The real reason why people opt for remap (stock parts) is not for Power, but for drivability. A tuned ECU will yield a throttle that’s better to modulate. Unlike stock ECU where it’s either lethargic throttle or pedal to the metal, which is dizzying for passengers. Especially turbo engines. The real challenge is finding a reputable tuner who knows their stuff, backed by experience and hard work of on road driving conditions.

Very well said.
This is the most legit info.
Iba talaga pag may experience ang magsalita unlike sa theory based lang

I agree. More power mas less ang fuel kasi mas mabilis mo makukuha cruising speed mo at the same time less pedal application on high speed unlike on stock ecu mabagal and grabe ang turbo lag.

man, trying to talk to people can be tiring... forums used to be a good source of info but now it's another collection of misinformation. I recently got a 2006 chevy colorado, I just want to tweak it as is my nature and frustrated that I can't just plug in and tune it myself... My last daily driver for over 20 years was a 74 ford maverick with a 66 mustang 289 with a t5 that I put together from a 250 i6 w/c4, not to mention the brakes, diff, and so many other changes, I tuned the carb with the help of a narrow band o2 gauge when they became available, I modified my distributor and set the timing to 38 advanced which resulted in about 12 at idle after narrowing the swing of the weights on 87 octane along with working with plug gap, adjusting throttle response includes tightening cable, accelerator pump, etc. still got it, just nice to drive something newer now...

So, is there a utilitarian way to just plug in and tweak with my truck ecu without paying excessive costs per tune?

I know one can increase both mpg and hp/trq by increasing 'efficiency' of an engine, and I'm not even getting into fuel besides standard liquid gas systems...

sorry for the long message, it's early and I'm just rambling, been trying to find relevant info for ages, thought cpu's would make things simpler for those of us who's been working with cars for ages, but now that I have a 'newish' daily driver of my own and want to do my thing with it, it's annoying to keep getting road blocks just to do what I thought was basic things to do with my own car like adjusting timing, afr, throttle response, etc.

Also why does a ecu that uses a narrow band gauge can't just do a stable tune and just use the sensors to fine tune? the o2 sensor and fuel trim correlation is idiotic on my truck after plugging in and seeing how it swings back and forth... even on my carbed car I got it dialed in and stable, figured a comp controlled system would have a basic afr setup and use inputs to adjust and tweak on the fly...

Which is better theory or hands on practice? Which is which or both is the best

Hi sir . May I ask if I need to do a remap if I will just be replacing my catalytic converter to a X-delete pipe and just keep my stock pipes? I’m just up for a little more loudersound but actually like it with the deep sound of my stock pipe than having it really full exhaust system. Thank you.

Yung iba kasi napanood lang sa Youtube or nabasa sa comment feel nila alam na agad nila ang mag technical parts sa motor inaapply na in general without knowing ang specs ng certain na gamit
