The best solution would be a Peaceful one rather than war that create hovac for both countries.Both countries should await the verdict of the international Court of Justice.Guyana GDF is no match for Venezuela millitary.I still believe the ICJ will rule in guyana 's favour under the treaty of 1899.We are neighbors and friends let's live in harmony with each other.We live in civalise society let the rule of law prevail to end this controversy. RIGHTLY ESSEQUIBO BELONGS TO THE AMERINDIAN WHO OCCOPIED ESSEQUIBO LONG BEFORE THE DUTCH 'FRENCH AND BRITISH.SO LET THE ICJ DELIVER THE VERDICT AS TO WHO OWNS ESSEQUIBO. DOES MADURO RIGGED REFERENDUM HAVE MORE WEIGHT OR JURISDICTON THAN THE ICJ REFRAINING COURT ORDER?

Venezuela once controlled majority of South America during the Spanish conquest and the Essequibo region under the reign of Simón Bolívar . Then came other regimes, colonies, rebellions.. Boarders were drawn whether desirable or otherwise but it was signed and resolved. Should Venezuela annex the Essequibo region, it will set a precedent for Venezuela to lay claims to majority of South America. It is like Russia claiming the entire USSR as theirs. Unacceptable.
