Retired in Feb, pandemic in March and then found you and Arron. This "Garden Cit-idiot" knew nothing of shade, full sun or care for plants but now has a small but glorious yard. THANKS

Thank you for sharing your garden., your information and your precious family. Say hello to your Mom and Dad( and Sister).

Oh my! Had to stop the video to say “YAY”. The delphiniums got their stakes!!! They look so good standing up straight. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you do that before! 🤣🤣🤣 just teasing you, because you always say you should, but seldom do it. 💚💚💚

Never realized so many plants needed to be groomed. Great ideas.

"This spot was really easy. LOW maintenance." Haha!! That was actually a LOT of cleanup work (and even with lower humidity, temps in the 100s is nothing to sneeze at) and it all looks very beautiful. And did everyone catch those big urns just exploding with all those gorgeous pink and magenta flowers?... Those are outstanding! Staking the delphiniums made a huge difference too. I just love everything in that whole west garden. Thank you for sharing your lives and gardens with us. It truly is a bright spot in my every day. 💗🌼

So proud of you for staking your plants! That can be a pain but certainly worth it!

I love your confidence in yourself. Watching you moving this and that plant reminds me of a lady rearranging her furniture just because she can.🤣💕👏

Living in North Central South Dakota means that we, too, have vast amounts of wind. In fact this year we have had so many days in which we have a wind advisory that it has been the windiest in record. When I first planted delphiniums several years ago, I did not stake them at all; of course they were all laid on the ground. I did research and bought lots of individual plant stakes like what you used on your delphiniums. Unfortunately, all their stems broke at the circle part of the plant support. Then I tried half moon shaped supports to better support the base of the plants. This, too, did not work. Finally, I bought some tall peas trellises from Gardener's Supply. There were eight panels which I separated into two sets which I placed in the ground vertically around each delphinium. This meant the entire plant was supported for about the first 3 1/2 to 4 foot of the plant. Now, the wind can blow all it wants, the blossoms bend in the wind but they do not snap off. The plant supports are not as attractive, especially in the spring. But once the delphiniums reach full size, one cannot see the green metal structure of the pea supports as much. It is definitely worth it to me to keep those lovely blossoms.

Garden maintenance is instant gratification especially taking a hedge trimmer to perennials to push for a second flush of blooms!

The music choices used for you working is GREAT! Either Aaron & Ken or either/ or. Spot on.
Laura, I also love the way you beam yourself all over the work areas. 😂 Very entertaining.
One thing that impresses me about you is how you tackle any task you do. You remind me so much of myself in that regard. But seeing you roll up your sleeves and deal with it makes me proud of myself as well. Been around nay sayers that live to put ambitious people down. But realized they are just crows jealous of the Eagles we are. 😉

I always enjoy your garden maintenance videos. Such an inspiration for me to get out and check my plants and do a little cleanup, do some fertilizing, add a little mulch here and there where it needs it. I still have a few things in pots that I need to get in the ground. I always learn something new from your videos. Thank you for being an inspiration and an excellent teacher! Thank you for always encouraging us to get out and work in our own garden no matter what the temperature or the season or the condition, we can get out and make it beautiful and enjoy the great outdoors right there in our own space. You are a blessing! Keep up the good work.
