3DS Max 2020 Released

Today Autodesk released the newest version of 3DS Max 2020. In this video we take a look at the new features and decide if the new update is worthwhile.

We ask only one thing from 3ds max: Adapt the subscription model for indie devs. Or release a god damn 3ds max LT (which will likely never happen). The software is nearly unaffordable for a start-up studio.

They need to fix the major bugs that been around for literally 25+ years now... the fact that they just leave them in there yet keep adding features is incredibly concerning, and one major factor why I stopped using this program.

A lot of hate for this release but performance upgrades are always nice. I just wish that they would focus more on the bugs that have been persistent in 3DS Max for many years now.

This is where me and 3dsmax part ways. been using it since 2012 But now im looking for the exit. Even going to give Blender 2.8 a try. Looks promising

I like the direction they will be going. Making animation seems relatively easy already - can't wait for animation workflow simplifications to come out. Even better.

I bought pirated CD of 3D Studio Max 5 back in a days. Comparing to latest versions it's basically the same, but weights 20 times less and runs smooth. Shame.

Not to nitpick too much, but the saying is "sign your own death warrant", not "sign your own grave".

I stopped the subscription service in 2015 when they tripled the annual cost. Great software, but I see they are continuing to go in the wrong direction.
Also, been using it since version R2 (1997). pretty sure it's 3D Studio not 3D Studios.
