As a huge Subaru fan... I like this thing. More manufacturers should make cars like this. 5 door, awd, 6 speed, everyone needs that in their life.

The bad blind spots in all modern cars are a turn off for me. There are more practical ways to make a car safer. I shouldn't need to feel like i'm driving a submarine with a periscope just to see whats around the car!

Love, love, LOVE the commentary at the end about the dichotomy between cars as a means of escape as well as integration within a community of like-minded people. My love for cars has always been very insular and... well, maybe it's time to change that.

Reviews like this one are always my favorite. Ones where Mr. Regular delves into the psyche of car people and car culture. They're always deep and mostly true for the mass majority. They always make me reflect on why I'm a car enthusiast and what I'm doing as a car enthusiast.

I like the RS as a whole, but I dunno if I could get past the interior (other than the awesome Recaro seats). I dislike the little gauges that Ford plops on top of the dash most of all. They look cheap.
