This is a small thing... but if you put stickers in the interior or exterior, you can click right or left dpad to select different positions on/in the truck for more placements and some of them have special stickers that only work from those positions. This also applies to windshield stickers. I was 1500 hours in before i realized these. It slightly raises the value of the truck if you sell it. Even though they are free.

A tip learnt from one of your videos that i didnt know was the gearchanging and how they can be manipulated to help me up hills. Usually I will just shift it into high for the hills.

A stepped semi-trailer can be used to transport 4 cargo slots, and the fifth slot can be occupied by a fuel tank trailer for scouts. Thus, using the M961A (which has a fuel tank of only 200 liters), you get a powerful "build" for 4 slots with a fuel reserve that allows you to drive anywhere (1100 liters).

One nice tip if you use a trailer and want to empty the load from the trailer first, by default the game will unload the truck first.
The good method for this is
1. Detach the trailer
2. Unpack the truck
3. Attach the trailer back
4. Unload the stuff from trailer
5. Pack the truck

Another thing to add to finding materials, if you go to the mission or contract, click on it and you can scroll the materials needed and if you click on one it'll quickly move your cursor straight to where you can find that material

For logging missions I use the sideboard semi-trailer I load and make one trip with that setup. Sometimes the saves lots of time rather than crossing the map with a packed log setup. The log crane can be used to tip the trailer over and put it back on its Wheels as well. Just remember that three logs equals a packed load.

Funfact: almost all type of cargo are lighter when unpacked, only the wood planks are heavier when unpacked. So if you have some trouble going through mud or climbing a hill, unpack your load and you'll find those obstacles easier

One of the things that I use directly in my gameplay and have never seen anyone else use is: AUTOMATIC SAVE AND BACKUP SAVE! The game saves in 5 seconds as soon as you enter it, and then automatically saves every 5 minutes. So, if you go to a difficult section, exit the game through the Menu, returning to the main screen and as soon as you return, it will save in 5 seconds, then you will have 5 minutes to try to pass and if you tip over, get stuck or lose your load, that's it. CLOSE THE GAME! You will return to the last Auto Save! 😉

Something I didn't know until putting in at least 400 hours in is you can press the left joystick (L3 for PS4/5) while in Crane mode and it will raise and lower your outriggers without exiting crane operation. That way you can pull the truck up without dragging the outriggers.
Also I knew about the steering wheel settings but didn't know it would still work with the controller. Thanks

I’ve just found out that if you hold break while holding gas, you will actually cycle DOWN gears until you reach the desired gear. Doesn’t always work reliably but I’ve had a much better time of approaching a curve at higher speeds but breaking and holding gas at the same time.

As for finding out which warehouse has the cargo you need, I think there is an even simpler way whilst being on a mission. You can simply scroll down the task-list an select the cargo you need to pick-up/delvier, and it will jump to the warehouse that has it in stock. VERY handy, and even more usefull than hopping from warehouse to warehouse to search for it.
The steering wheel setting was one of the first things I did when I started playing the game years ago. I can't imagine hou one can play 1000 hours with that horrible steering 😅 But again. Snowrunner is really really not the best at giving you hints on how to improve your gameplay. I'm sure we still miss out on alot of other features.

I have 850 hours, I knew all of these, but the biggest game changer for me was learning to leave trucks lying around and then just jumping into them to complete a nearby task/contract

I relatively recently learned the steering trick and I agree. It's a game changer.

If you winch to another truck in front of you and turn its engine on, it will start pulling your truck automatically. In some situations this is more convenient than switching to the other truck.

when it comes to materials, if you're doing a mission that needs wooden planks, go to the missions screen and select the required material and it'll show where on the map or which region you need to go to

I've discovered an easier way to haul more stuff with just one truck. Have a truck with a crane (doesnt matter what size), and use a ramp trailer as your primary. Load your ramp trailer with whatever materials you need (fits up to 4 slots), then detach and load your second trailer. Then go back to your ramp trailer and position it in front of the second trailer and use the winch cable from the center back hook slot of the ramp trailer to the front hook attachment of the second trailer which should be the main trailer hook point if you got it right then haul the cable in til it wont pull in anymore and now your "turn-pike hauling"

Despite this being months old, I got another trick up the sleeve. Didn't test this, but saw it in a video.
If you take a log carrier front and the medium log trailer, you can haul both Medium Logs and Long Logs! Without having to switch addons!

I'm on mouse and keyboard so most of those were never an issue, but the trick I can offer is that when climbing a hill with a heavy load that's stalling your truck out, sometimes toggling awd off can give you enough of a power boost to keep the tires turning because you are not taking the negative awd torque modifier

When you have a timetrial where you need to deliver something and you can’t make it first deliver the trailer or whatever to the destination and then restart with only the vehicle. Drive to it attach trailer and deliver

Cargo is also great to prevent tipover when you counterbalance it with a crane. Just leave it hang and drive. Adjust cargo when the slope changes. Also works great with steep hills

Oh man steering settings what a great tip thank you so much. Been playing for two years with a controller and changing the setting makes life so much better.❤👍

If you play with Controller, quick tapping LB/L1 will skip Gears (from 1 to 4 for example) or quickly downshift to the desired Gear so your truck does not come to a stop when entering a mudhole
