I can’t explain why, but this felt like a marble race and I mean that in the best way possible

Seattle hitters watched a ton fastballs right down the middle go by that game if you rewatch it. Something Im sure was super frustrating to Mariners fans watching who didn't understand how that could happen so often with such great hitters. It happened because Clemens splitters were so nasty hitters were reduced to guessing. What looked just like a fastball right down the middle you started loading up a full swing for could end up being a nasty splitter diving out of the zone at the last second making your swing look ridiculous. It's an interesting and unique pitching performance to rewatch.

Me in selfish delusion that Piazza would magically hack the postseason server at 11:00 to own Clemens for the millionth time 😭

It's a shame that Clemens likely wont make the HOF. Say what you will about the roiding, but the MLB let it go on till congress and the public all but forced their hand. If Bud Selig is in the hall, so should many of the guys they scapegoated.

I don't like the over analysis of the statistics of baseball it's pretty plain to see when someone is being dominant however ever since the James Statistical Abstract came out and after watching this video the way you Quantified at all I'm starting to slowly become more of somewhat tepid believer of over statistics. But just barely if it all LOL I prefer what I see with my own eyes
