I am still using the DJI Spark (Yes, I know it is very old) and am looking for an upgrade and this review was the best for the difference comparison. 
For me I think the Mini 3 with the screen controller would be enough for the $200 price difference. I like that DJI is making the Controller future proof as it allows for less things to be orphaned when upgrading.

The significance of h265 is not additional computational overhead in post, its that for a given finite data rate it will give better image quality than h264
