The world is filled with endless ways to discover new music. With algorithms, recommendations, and endless scrolling, where can you turn to find consistently high-quality musical inspiration?

In this episode, we'll be covering the 13 best places to discover new music. The best part about this list is, they're all YouTube channels! Whether you live in the remote forests of Alberta or the concrete jungle of NYC, as long as you have an internet connection you can discover new music!

I chose this list of publications, record labels, documentarians, and otherwise guitar geeks because of their consistent quality and curation. There are so many artists out there, and I believe these channels are constantly working to uncover and highlight new guitarists every day.

I've also found that the actual quality of the video, recording, and art direction for the shoots are incredible. There's always new music to be heard and most of the options have an extensive backlog of featured artists.

If there are any channels that you think I overlooked, please let me and the TAC Family know by dropping a comment below. I'm always on the hunt for new music and places to find out, and I'm sure there are other TAC Family members out there who are, too!

Day 22 of TAC 30 days 2 Play
I put in a lot of hours last week practicing chord transitions and the "boom chick" pattern. I'm still very slow but progress is measurable. I enjoy strumming each chord 4 times and transitioning to the next over and over and I am getting better, not faster, at it. My fingertips are developing calluses and not spreading as much on the fretboard making dead strings less common.
I started week 4, "Simple Steps To Your First Guitar Solo" yesterday and have enjoyed the simple scale a lot. Looking forward to getting better at it.
So far, so good! I have found that my motivation has only increased everyday and even with the failures and struggles I have not been deterred. Even though I haven't mastered any of the previous lessons I look forward to sitting down and doing my daily TAC lesson and practicing everyday.
I'll never play like Roy Clarke but maybe one day I'll be able to strum through a Bob Segar song. LoL

You THE MAN Tony! I really enjoy your positive energy, skill and professionalism not to mention your knowledge and devotion to music. You keep me entertained, educated and inspired. Ignore the Nay sayers.

John Monteleone was featured in a documentary with Mark Knopfler and the guitars he imagines and creates are absolutely exquisite. wow, what a true master Luthier he is.

Here in CNY we have the Blue Moon Cafe on Sunday mornings. It is an all acoustic radio show and they play a lot of different songs. Discovered Jack Johnson, Steve Goodman and developed a new appreciation for some other artists that I was aware of but never really listened to before.

I’m not a TAC member and have been a couch player my whole life so I have nothing to add but to say thank you for the suggestions. I find myself playing the same stuff over and over and losing interest in practicing because of it. Some of those female artists remind me a lot of when guitar was new to me and my mother would listen to Joan Baez. That took me way back and promoted me to pick up my guitar and play along. Inspiration is a crazy fickle thing.

Thank you much for the channel recommendations. I've already stumbled upon a few of them lately, and I'll always take more.
My Mule Resonator arrived in early January, and we are learning to get along pretty well. So much to learn, now, and very different from a regular acoustic (or electric).
I appreciate you doing what you do.

Awesome session, looking forward to browsing the sources. Thank you for sharing the insults, and giving voice to the far side of your fanbase bell curve, and spelling lesson! I think you are the inner beast in all hockey players, in the flesh! Although I did notice when you did the pain Tuesday, you were NOT wearing a hockey jersey! ( I make have to fact check myself ) Cheers and thank you.

Tony, it's Valentines day and I will say I love you! I am so happy that you did not consider me to be a "bully" in this episode. I know little about hockey but my wife has some tattoos. I do listen to some of your suggestions but I fear my practice time will suffer if I seek out new sites. I wish you well and your family. Please send that guy a "be nice and play guitar" hat.
Happy Valentines day! I will resubscribe.
