5 Quick LEGENDS FACTS About DARTH PLAGUEIS Pt. III-Darth Plagueis-also known as Darth Plagueis The Wise-was a Dark Lord of the Sith who was trained by the Sith Master Darth Tenebrous. The time period of when Darth Plagueis came to possess his Sith apprentice was unknown, but Darth Plagueis was master to the Sith Lord, Darth Sidious, aka Sheev Palpatine-who want on to become chancellor of the Republic, before toppling both the Jedi Order and Republic and leading the Galactic Empire as Emperor. Darth Plagueis and Palpatine—who took the Sith moniker Darth Sidious—worked together for years, as Darth Plagueis and Darth Sidious tried to unlock the secrets of immortality. While training Sidious, Darth Plagueis taught him that two Sith were required for their perilous machinations. So, if they worked together in accordance to the Rule of Two, with one of them serving as a bait for the dark side of the Force and the other as a vessel, they would succeed in acquiring the ability to harness the full power of the dark side. Darth Plagueis conducted research into bioengineering and experimenting with his ability to influence the midi-chlorians to create life and to execute the Sith Order's long-percolating plan of supplanting the Galactic Republic with a new Sith Empire. In doing so, Darth Plagueis acquired considerable knowledge of the Force and the dark side. Under the tutelage of Darth Plagueis, Darth Sidious was appointed to the Galactic Senate as the Senator of Naboo. And as Sidious played the part of Galactic Senator, Darth Plagueis was still teaching him the ways of the dark side of the force, in accordance with the Sith Rule of Two philosophy. Darth Plagueis, remembered as Darth Plagueis the Wise, was a male Muun Dark Lord of the Sith and heir to the lineage of Darth Bane. Trained by Darth Tenebrous, Darth Plagueis mastered the art and science of midi-chlorian manipulation. Obsessed with eternal life, he experimented with ways to cheat death and create new life from the midi-chlorians. In his public guise as Magister Hego Damask II of the InterGalactic Banking Clan, Darth Plagueis backed the rise and fall of certain star systems, businesses, and crime lords, earning him many enemies and putting the Galactic Republic into turmoil. One of Plagueis's greatest contributions to the history of the galaxy was training Darth Sidious in the ways of the Sith and the dark side of the Force, whom he incited to take control of the galaxy and bring about a new age of the Sith. For decades, he had helped Sidious, known publicly as Palpatine from Naboo, rise to the position of Senator and played a hand in his apprentice's election as the Supreme Chancellor of the Republic in 32 BBY. Together, they instigated the Yinchorri Uprising in 34 BBY, the Invasion of Naboo, and the war that would destroy the Jedi Order and the Republic in years to come. They were even unwittingly responsible for the procreation of Anakin Skywalker, the Chosen One. Because of the importance of Darth Bane's Rule of Two, will Star Wars fans get to see this doctrine play out in the upcoming Disney+ Series The Acolyte? Will Star Wars fans get to see how the Sith Rule of Two was followed and implemented during the waning days of The High Republic? Since the Acolyte will focus on the emergence of dark side powers in the final days of the High Republic Era, it stands to reason that the series will showcase the Sith operating during this time period. If that's the case, Star Wars fans could very well get to see the Rule of Two play out in the upcoming Disney+ series. The Acolyte is being described as a female-centric, mystery-thriller that will be created by Leslye Headland. Darth Plagueis can be considered one the most important Sith Lords to have lived. Darth Plagueis' foresight and acumen allowed for the Sith Order to slowly but surely rise from the ashes to eventually topple both the Jedi Order and Galactic Republic.

"Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith so powerful and so wise, he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create life. He had such a knowledge of the dark side, he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying."
―Palpatine

So who else just learned that starwars had nukes? Like I knew the universe is high tech but nukes are never mentioned in anything I've read. Neat.

I also like that the event in wich sideous killed him in his sleep took place somewhere during the duel of the fates with darth maul. I find that interesting

So one would suggest that he merely used Palpatine to ensure his own immortality, from a certain point of view, or course.

Is it me or just play us not seem as evil as other Sith
But more driven by science to have for his own benefit instead of just trying to take over the world and being a psychopath

It's always weird to me how very different individual images of Darth Plagueus look. He was a Muun, st least at one point in lore, yet different arts look so varied, looking more like a Duro, or Cerean. Part of it might be disfigurement, but still.

By far my favorite Sith master. I love that he was a man of science who wanted to break the rule of two and wanted to live forever with his apprentice Sidious. Sure he was evil and ruthless but by Sith standards Plagueis was rather noble. Pretty sad that Palpatine killed him in his sleep

I remember at some point Plagueis reaching out with the force and tried to impregnate a female bye manipulating midichlorians across space. I don't remember if anything was said about him actually succeeding which I think is what left the door open for questions like did he create Anakin?

From what Im can tell plagueis seemed like a pretty ok guy teaching sidious everything he knew and letting him have a apprentice of his own. Sucks that sidious didn't share the whole "sharing knowledge" thing and everything died with him.

Luceno did great things with this character.

He actually didn't teach Sidious everything though. He never taught him the secrets of resurrection and immortality hence why palpatine had to use clones in order to come back.

You mean he taught everything he knew except the secret of saving someone from death and living for ever right?

So the study of dark side force and science is called sith alchemy witch was mostly lost due to dark bane being stupid but on top of that, the fact that he was letting palpatine train a apprentice is important, that can only be 2, one master and one apprentice, allowing your student to train another means A the master did see the threat or B the master is dead. And it's not A or B because he knew and helped so in this case it was C he was planning on using the dark side to rip out plapatines sprit or whatever with the dark side and take over his body

No he didn't teach all, he tried, he was just following the rule of 2 of Darth Bane.

It's a bit cool how plagueis didn't seem completely horrible, but wanted to understand the force Even tho he was on the dark side
