In this video, I discuss the possible endings to I Am Legend and how they might have differed. Spoiler alert: the alternate ending I discuss is much darker and more disturbing than the one that was actually filmed!

The story is actually better being told from the perspective of the darkseekers. We never really get the realization of why Neville is legend. The original story is more that he is monster hunter but eventually realizes he’s the actual true monster in the story.

I do know this. I had three versions of the film. A VCD, a Ripped-Video, and TV.

The VCD ending ends with suicide. The TV and Ripped ends with this scene.

I had the Original DVD and the dvd was him sacrificing with a grenade to kill all zombies the 2nd ending is him giving the girl to them and leaving

Thing is the studios couldn’t possibly have such an ending where the monsters were more than brainless husks, so they changed it to him simply blowing up

The alternate ending in which sam died was real ending becoz they were the dark seekers and killers thatswhy that ending was perfect but that women i dont know how she escape if they were intelligent than that darkseeker boss would have trap not letting that women go 😂😂 its somuch confusing 😵

i think the biggest clue that the zombies were good people just trying to survive in thier new life. Was the fact animals were comfortable with the area of the zombies. While for the main charachter they tried to stay away from in his close proximity due to the fact he had to use a car to hunt

The alternate ending I watched was him giving the cure to Anna and blowing him and the dark seekers up with a hand grenade but I don’t think a hand grenade would make a big explosion
