What these critics are missing is the fact the PMP is the "Gold Standard", recognized globally. This exam covers many facets of project management and is very difficult to obtain. But once you have it it puts one in a unique category of individuals who are competent enough to sit for this rigid 4 - hour 200 question exam, and dually-note by others who have done the same. Certified PMPs know how to manage projects money and people. Scrum Master know how to monitor a scrum team. Fundamentally, as a project manager, you should maintain your PDUs and keep up with industry trends and obtain the latest any relevant certifications to keep oneself knowledgeable and marketable. And it will only augment your credentials if you have both.

Buddy, im into IT, following sdlc models.. So if I pursue ACP.. I feel that would be more relevant
