This episode is one that meant a lot to me, so I hope what's mentioned can mean something to you too

A little bit trivia from One Piece anime :
All openings have the word "Dream/Yume" in the lyrics, except for two openings (OP13 and OP14) where Luffy nearly gives up on his dream because he lost Ace and almost lost all of his crew, so he thinks that his dream to have the biggest party with all people around the world is gone forever

Speaking of Kaido. I haven't watched the whole video yet but I want to comment this before I forget about it. In the last chapter of the manga (1035) we see a determined and smiling Kaido recruiting King, the same way Roger did with Rayleigh and Luffy with Zoro. He says he's the only one who can change the world. He looks hungry and hopeful. The current Kaido, however, looks angry, depressed (alcoholic) and disappointed. One of the lines he says to Luffy, after the second time he knocks him out is "Seems like you couldn't be Joyboy either".

By now, it's pretty clear that Kaido has some deep knowledge regarding the True History. I think that by saying that Luffy couldn't be Joyboy "either" he was establishing a parallel with himself. He also says that Pirates will betray you. So to me, it looks like Kaido was once as much of a dreamer as Luffy is today. He wanted to become the Pirate King, but something happened in the way that made him feel disappointed and hopeless. That's why he's now angry and depressed. Because he thought he was gonna be Joyboy, but couldn't. And that's also why he's at Wano Country, because he knows something is bound to happen there regarding the true Joyboy and he wants to be there to face it. Though I don't know if he wants to try and steal "it" from him or if he's some sort of a "guardian" himself, that is, an osbtacle that Joyboy needs to overcome.

But I think that Kaido will have a "happy" ending of his own, similar to Whitebeard's, in the sense that he's not just the big, bad, strong monster he's portrayed to be. He's got feelings, and he was once a dreamer too. A little bit of Uchiha Obito vibes, if you know what I mean. I bet Oda will make us sympathize with Kaido by the end.

The day one piece ends, we shall laugh SO loud that the entire world would know, that dreams and stories are for ever

For the second time youve managed to make me cry. I think about all the people who died before seeing the end of one piece and its always a sad thought but now i feel optimistic knowing i can carry on their wills and see the end for them along with everyone else.

I was literally crying while watching the video, and then the greatest quote of Blackbeard started: "People's dream will never die!" and all the crying turned into laugh.

I was laughing so hard, because it was all too simple and yet magical.

Thanks a lot for these videos, and forever thanks to Oda because of One Piece.

Roger laughing… Oden’s life… Fight Together… this is going to be the most emotional episode of The True History to date

Edit after watching the video: I LOVE ONE PIECE!!!

If this is how the story will turn out to be, I'll be very very very pleased.
I'm scared that characters will turn out to be just reincarnations of previous generations up to the Void Century, but if it was their greatness being able to convey their dreams to the next generation... that's something I could get behind and it's really touching.

And here I am crying again... Amazing as always, Artur.
P.s. Let's hope that Japan (Wano) open its borders again soon so all One Piece fans can visit it haha! It's so frustrating that it keeps on closing due to the pandemic, as if it was Wano...

Never though I would cry seeing a theory video, but I guess that is the extent of Oda's captivating genius.

It's very endearing to see how much passion you put on your work, Arthur, thank you for delivering another fantastic video

I remember in my early years of high school I felt really down in my life. I really felt that everything I did was pointless, and only found solace in watching One Piece. All the great things that happened to me were just far behind me. I really found happiness and laughter in one piece. Honestly oda is a genius. I can see him being quoted more than Shakespeare in the near future because his theme, world, and character crafting is just superb

What I love the most from this thing of death in OP, is that my father told me all my life the same, and is like a life philosophy for me, people only die when they're forgotten, all my life I knew that and seeing it on my favourite manganime Is always something that makes me drop a tear, great video!!

I like the idea saying that Kaido was very determined in his youth and got depressed as he hasn't achieved JoyBoy's will until his old days.
Judging by how everything goes, I think Kaido will die smiling as well if somehow he dies at the end of the arc as he found someone else worthy to carry the torch over.

Great sentiment, that you only die when you’re forgotten, but it’s very depressing to people who are all alone lol someone out there has no one to remember them.. and that’s sad. However, dying and being forgotten don’t have to be bad things. What’s most important is making the most of life, doing what makes you happy and giving some meaning to other peoples lives too, for the sake of being good, even if no one knows it

Blackbeard is one of my favorite characters just from that scene in Jaya. I hope we get more of his nicer/
inspirational side as the story continues. One of my personal theories is that when people refer to Blackbeard as "they", they are referring to the wills of other people that are inside him. The same way Luffy is a culmination of other people's wills + his own, Blackbeard is as well.

I am so confused right now... I feel like this was obvious from the start... I knew what the inherited will is from when I was a child and watched choppers arc for the first time... I am so confused why all people in the chat and in the comments are so suprised... And once again: I love Arturs videos and this is a great video, but I don't understand the people who watched this and realise this for the first time... Am I consuming media in a different way? Please explain!
