I dont think its fair to say that being passive is less harmful than being assertive. Really depends on whats being asked of you.

I'm not sure, I'm pretty skeptical on having this be a personality disorder of its own. Of course, if someone has this diagnosis I'll support them, it just feels too similar to aspects of BPD, autism, ADHD, and separation anxiety. More importantly, I feel like this is something that can be cured, unlike other disorders that can't be cured but managed. I certainly had an episode like this after a traumatic breakup, and it took me nearly a year of feeling like I couldn't live without him, trying to find closure with him, and trying to end my life because of how far I spiraled, that I realized I was being manipulated. And now I'm cured of that dependency from him and have a new healthy relationship. I feel like with enough treatment (I recommend DBT), people can be cured from DPD and no longer feel any sense of dependency.

I was diagnosed with this after being abused and neglected as a child and going through a domestic abuse relationship. I was also diagnosed with Emotional Unstable Personality Disorder also known as Borderline Personality Disorder

Life can teach you to be dependent. An undiagnosed learning disability can make you wish you were never born! Teachers think you are not learning "on purpose" and you wonder how you are ever going to make it in life because they will threaten and tell you that you will never make it and scare you so bad, you want to die. What do you do? I have had over fifty jobs in my lifetime. I was always so filled with anxiety I thought I honestly would explode from it.

The video/audio quality is poor. I'm not sure if it is because this episode was rushed or this is in general how it is produced, but the low frame rate, the inconsistent mic, the quality and color degradation. Hopefully you'll look into this and continue to improve.

Also, do not place your add in the middle of the first paragraph of the guest speaker. It's very aggressive and shows lack of care for your audience and the subject matter.
