How to Copy A SharePoint List with Data to Another SharePoint List | Power Automate | 2023 Tutorial

Hi Everyone,

In this video, I demonstrate how to copy a SharePoint List with data to another SharePoint list. You can do this with any SharePoint list in your organization you have permission for. This will not copy the metadata associated with the row content.

Hey Mike thank you so much for this, it was really helpful. I do have a question. Due to the lookup column threshold, I cannot copy over all of my over 35 columns at once. So i did the first 10 and it worked. Then I recreated the workflow so the next 10 columns get pasted on the same rows that were populated. But they all got pasted under the first rows (in the right columns). How do I get the next set of data to line up in the correct rows?

Cheers mate, Solved my issue. Only issue I had was that the flow refused to run until I took out a few of the columns I believe because they had multiple choice entries in. It was trying to do multiple apply to each's within itself which then broke.

Can we migrate / copy comments as well from one list to another using power automate, as normal power automate flow doesn't get the list item comments.

That threshhold limit for 256 rows is ridiculous coming from a so-called leading Tech company like M$oft. If there was a better technology that integrated into Sharepoint like List, I would use it in a heartbeat. Anyways, thanks for your content. It is helpful.
