This is not coping a list, perhaps you should rename your video, 'How to copy column titles'

okay but how do you copy everything from the existing list...?

Very useful option and video. Although when I tried I got an error message saying "Something went wrong and we could not complete this action". I wonder if you know why I couldn't go ahead, something to do with my settings? I tried to see what went wrong without success so far. Thank you

After 2 days of trying to duplicate a SharePoint List with all current views and getting nowhere, your video solved my problem in about 5 mouse clicks! thank you!!

Title needs to be 'How to create a new List from a Template.
As it's missing the actual real 'Copy' bit.
It's a shame M$ doesn't add a tick box for copy contents, when going through that process.
I found to Copy the contents natively, simple opne 2 windows, one with the original, and the other with the newly created list.
Open both on the same View, and both in 'Edit in Grid view' mode.
Then simply hit the select all radio button, via the Top title bar of the Lists, then CTRL-C, then go to the other Lists window, select the top left cell only, then hit CTRL-V . It's a bit fidgetty so you might need to selct the adjacent cell, then try again, to get it to paste in. Noting it has to redraw the screen again, and for each item row, so if it's a large list, then it may glitch, but be patient as if you move away from it, it may not save your work fully, then you need to find out where you were at.

Hi, can the same be done for Document Libraries? The same options do not appear when I create a Document Library

The list I want to copy doesn't show up when I select Existing List. Any thoughts? I am an owner of the other Team where the list I want to copy currently is.

Thanks! i also got to the last part and noticed no data being transfered. What i am trying to do is to 'copy' a list with its data to a different site. Also want to maintain it. So i want to maintain one list but it gets viewed and updated in 2 different sites. is there any way of doing that (other than embedding it)
