Can the Doorbell Cam connect to multiple phones? What happens if both spouses try to answer the door?

You connected the power to the base plate (1:06), then you took the camera to the router (1:28) (leaving the base plate outside). The app says "Make sure the doorbell camera is powered on", but how is that possible if you have to take the camera to the router. If the base plate is outside and the camera is inside near the router, how is the camera getting power?

Thanks for the detailed review Shelly. One question...does it always take 30 seconds for the august lock to unbolt? Or was yours simply having difficulty that day? If it takes more than a few seconds then I dont think Ill have a use for the smart lock. Thanks.
