LibreWolf: Quick Look and Install on Linux Mint

LibreWolf is a Firefox build that is already hardened out of the box. It disables several of the scarier elements that Firefox has been implementing, making this an excellent browser. The only catch for now is that it is more complicated to install.

The fact that they focus on Linux is the best thing about this baby ;)

A good alternative for Waterfox (that has been sold) has been Basilisk. I think you should take a time to try it on! :)

I'd like to see all their changes and adapt them to the original Firefox instead of using LibreWolf. The bad thing about AppImages is that the process is very manual and it doesn't update by default when a new version is released unless you use some tools like AppImageUpdate or AppImageLauncher.
You also could have copied the exact location of the file with ctrl + c / ctrl + v to avoid going manually into the folder twice.
Anyway, good video.

I dumped Waterfox the day that it got sold. Now you know why. :)

Tom, try as I might to copy your instructions at time 4:50, I can not get the librewolf icon to appear. The program runs fine from the App Image...and I downloaded the Flatpack version in hopes of snagging the icon, but can't seem to open the flat pack. What did you mean when you said "I downloaded the whole folder". Think having the "whole folder" is the key to getting the icon. Thank you.

I like how they just leave the option in the menu and just gray them out as a "F U" to Mozilla, and to show off it's security that's hilarious.

How do I add extensions to LibreWolf? Every time I click search or something it goes to a blank page

Should we trust the creator of this version more than the original creators of Firefox?

Is librewolf actually any faster than firefox? What with blocking more crap and being more locked down. Seems like it should run a bit faster.

To install from AUR I just type Paru librewolf and pick the most popular version. Maybe it's time distros move from ubuntu to arch.

Installed it from the AUR, was crap: Won't open in full screen mode and doesn't allow adding of any add-ons apart from u-block origin. :/
