LibreWolf Web Browser: Better Than Firefox?

LibreWolf is an open-source Firefox fork focused on privacy, security and user freedom that evolved from its predecessor LibreFox. The web browser has gained popularity recently so it deserves at least a quick look. While it is definitely more private than default Firefox in some aspects, several shortcomings are also present. It is obvious that LibreWolf is still in early development so hopefully it improves with time. The web browser is available for Linux, Windows and macOS.

I have heard many good things about LibreWolf but after seeing how early it is I think I will just have to wait.
It looks very promising tho.

It's great having many forks of firefox to choose from ! There's another one that's still in beta and isn't really well known, made by ghostery (same company as the ad-blocker addon), and called ghostery dawn.

I use Librewolf (on Linux), very good, more privacy friendly fork of Firefox, but there are certain things you might have some trouble with, for example trying to run DRM content, but you can easily fix that.

Big claims from the Mozilla variant. Consider making a compare/contrast video of LibreWolf vs Brave privacy, security, et al.

Seems like a bit of a hassle to me honestly.
I switched from Brave to Ungoogled Chromium to Firefox, then back to Brave and switched to Firefox within a couple of weeks.
I went back to using Vivaldi about a couple of days ago since it was the only web browser I truly liked for it's amount of features but it was slow browsing-wise; a recent update has made this issue almost disappear. It's not as fast as I want it to be but it's better than it was. For now and probably for the rest of my time surfing the internet, I'll stick with Vivaldi.
It's sync works and I can open tabs that are on my phone or on my laptop, it's open-source and if I have the right extensions downloaded and settings modified, it's private enough for me.

If you’re using an older computer, please don’t use Librewolf. You will have a very sluggish experience, and worst case scenario, your system will completely lock up and you must hard restart your machine. Maybe wait until the developers integrate some efficiencies into it before you can use it on older machines. For reference, I’m using a 2009 iMac that I use to experiment with Linux on.

What about Browser Isolation? Only Google websites on Chrome and browsing privately on Firefox/Brave etc

Please cover Iridium and SRIron browsers. I've used these boutique chromium builds and Iridium especially seems interesting.

Didn’t Firefox used to ship itself with uBlock Origin? Because I never heard of uBlock Origin until I installed Firefox Quantum back in 2017?

Firefox agreed to censor certain sites at the browser level. For that reason I don't use any Firefox versions anymore. I'm currently using Brave on all devices.
