There are some people who have sun inside them. It’s hard to explain their presence just brightens it’s not about their beautiful smiles. They have an internal being that sheds light and feels like sun. It’s a calm energy . Inner peace.
But most importantly, it’s not wanting anything back in return.
Its sun. ☀️

“I didn’t fit in, because I didn’t want to fit in.” Another pretty darn good quote.

NO matter what is happening in my life my sweet spot is coming home, closing the door, and reveling in complete peace and quiet. Just being by myself, letting my mind wander, doing what I want with no distractions. My alone time.

The secret to a happy live is finding joy everyday in the little things, watering outside plants early in the morning as the sun rises, making a desert everyone loves, reading a book at the end of a busy day, just breathing and being grateful for another day each morning you wake up!

I turned 87 in March of this year, and husband just had his 87th birthday this past week. We got married at age 18. Many folks said we were too young. It wouldnt last. Etc.
Well here we are toward our 69th anniversary.
Thats what im grateful for. Thats what gives me strength. I have many, many stories. Just as you do. Just as everyone does. Some are happy, fun stories. And too many are not!
Never be intimidated by people. Theyre not perfect either. 🤗
Continue to live your life and think your thoughts for your own sense of self worth! Then share what you wish to share and put the rest away, knowing they are part of who you are.❤
I cant wait to see your wedding wardrobe.

My mother, who was a kind person, gave me some advice regarding getting older. She said one of the few good things about aging was learning how to finally say ‘no’. Never in a cruel way, but in a way that preserves one's own integrity and being true to oneself. I have never heard a word out of your mouth that has been unkind or mean-spirited, it simply is not your nature. Just keep being yourself.

Say whatever you want, you are not offensive to me. I like to hear real and genuine things. I enjoy your posts every week. I wasn't one of the people you lost, and I'm still here.

My favorite quote “The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway.” Mother Theresa
I give kind words daily…makes me happy and makes others happy. That’s where my happiness comes from.❤

My happiness came when I stopped trying to please everybody. I do my best and save something for myself.

I can't believe you are nearly 70. Not possible. You look so pretty, your complexion so perfect. I am 75 and boy
do I feel old. You look so lovely. I think the key to being pretty is to be content with your life, happy to be you.
I'm going to work on that.

I was so touched two months ago when so many of you commented on my comment about my little dog, Wendy. Wendy was indeed very sick. On June 14th she was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer. I felt my entire world come crashing down in that moment. Wendy only lived 16 days from the day she was diagnosed. She died in my arms on Sunday, June 30. Then two days later on July 2nd, my sweet, older bunny, Presley died very suddenly and once again, he died in my arms. I lost two precious souls in two days. It’s been less than three weeks and I am in deep grief. Everywhere I turn there are reminders of my sweet babies. I know they are no longer suffering, but it’s still extremely hard missing them. I was told from a woman who channels animal spirits after they cross over, that my Wendy was greeted first by my Dad who died in 2008. My Dad loved dogs, was born “year of the dog” and so this brings me some measure of comfort. The thought that they are together is beautiful. Anyway, I wanted those people who commented on my Wendy to know that she has passed. This is a beautiful group of people here. I’m grateful to be here.❤️❤️

I don't even know you, Susan, but I love you. ❤️. You have no idea how you and Desi bring me comfort and joy every Saturday. The things you share heal me, in a weird way.. your interests, your video taking...your perspective from our age group and the thoughts that creep in at our age of 69...your fashion sense..you look so beautiful...your family and friends hit the jackpot having you in their lives. I waited all my life too for my Knight and thought I had found him and you're right. We have to save ourselves...Saying thank you for your videos does not scratch the surface of how important your messages are. ❤

I saw a sign the other day that said, "She believed she could, but she was too tired, so she didn't." I laughed so hard!! I also saw a dish towel that said, "Cremation is my last hope for a smokin' hot body!" I'm still giggling over that one! I believe that happiness and joy come when you finally realize that you are a child of God, and He loves you, and you, alone, are worthy! Also, a sense of humor, with lots of laughter helps!

So much of what you had to say tonight truly resonated with me. Now 63, divorced after 35 years, I am more comfortable in my own skin than ever before. I'm ok with me. I, too, feel stronger and more confident than ever. It's not because I have a smokin' hot body (I do not), mad money or fascinating lifestyle. It's that I have accepted who I am. I've, like so many others, not lived an ordinary, mundane life. It's been difficult and challenging. I always did the best I could, learning along the way. Though I was married, he was always traveling for work and not engaged. So, I was left to sort it out alone. I raised two amazing kids that reflect something I did right. I am no longer thinking about why didn't I do this or that. I think about all I have done.

What makes me happy is when I get to really be me. When I'm doing something as simple as listening to my favorite music. Going to karaoke nights! So much fun to sing and watch others. Being in the yard with my dogs. Shopping for house decor and flipping over things in a store at Halloween and Christmas, my daughter gets a kick out of me. It doesn't take much. I can always find something. To be honest, I'm in a painfully bad marriage and taking steps to leave. At age 67, I do want to have as much peace and happiness as possible. Watching you Susan, Inspires me.
