Crust ingredients:
200g chocolate flavored grahams, crushed
1 stick butter/margarine, melted
Filling:
1/4 cup cornstarch
3 cups evaporated milk
5 egg yolks
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 cup bittersweet chocolate, chopped
toppings:
whipped cream
cherry
shredded chocolates
Procedure:
1) Crust: Combine crushed grahams and melted butter
2) Press graham mixture onto the container and pac it tightly
3) Chill for 30min. or until ready to use
4) Filling: Combine cornstarch and evaporated milk
5) Whisk egg yolks and add cornstarch mixture. Mix it well and set aside
6) In a pot combine the remaining evaporated milk, white sugar, salt and coffee powder
7) Mix it well and bring to a simmer
8) Gradually add hot milk mixture into the egg yolk mixture. Mix it well
9) Pout the mixture back into the pot
10)Bring mixture to a simmer and stir constantly
11)Reduce the heat and continue stirring until thickened
12)When mixture is thick cook for another 2-3min.
13)Turn the heat off and add vanilla essence and chopped bittersweet chocolate
14)Mix it well until chocolate melts and let it cool down
15)Pour chocolate-custard onto the crust
16)Cover and chill chocolate tart overnight
17)Add toppings
