Just learned to tune on my own!!! The tuning apps really help for someone like me who still is learning what the correct sound is for each string. What scared me away the most is very early on the strings and bridge shifted so I had no idea you had to push in and the string snapped right in my face. Took two years to over come the fear but here I am !😊

I use my Boss Me-80 multiple effects pedal. It has a tuner in it.
Then, i also have 5 electric keyboards that are always in tune. I compare one keyboard to others. Some tones on keyboards are off key when a synthesizer has been incorporated

There are also tuning videos on YouTube that play all of the different notes. When in doubt, tune low and go slow!

Even if you know what they should sound like it is still good practice to check, they can go out with all strings at once and sound completely normal
