Gratefullness to Coach Kugimiya. I watched the documentary and how he trained and molded Caloy physically and mentally, bringing him to Japan to train, making use of his contacts to allow him to study while training therefore allowing him to use japan’s athlete training facility, standing as his guardian, trainor, friend, and even trying to be his family in their absence and trying to understand the mental state of Caloy and what is needed to motivate him, he is a counsellor for nothing. Even embracing him as his own. You can tell the he has succeeded in training an Olympic star. He deserve an applause from Filipinos!! He deserve an honor from the Philippine government!! He was selfless! He is simply amazing!! Our love goes to you Coach Kugimiya!!

Carlos Yulo was just 13 when he began his training with a Japanese coach. Let's not forget those who helped shape him for several years into a Gold medalist athlete he is today.

Carlos is so fortunate to have this guy as his coach... in his documentary you can see how much his coach assisted him to become one of the GOAT gymnist! Coach Munehiro is a big part of Caloy's achievement. He didn't give up on Caloy during those times when Caloy was still young and almost gave up.

He could at least say “HI” to his former Japanese coach. He knew he was there. He groomed him for a number of years. I watched those videos when they were training and spending time with each other. Whatever happened between them (if there is), he should showed his GRATEFULLNESS to his Japanese coach.

….and, whatever happened between he and his family, (especially to his Mom who brought him into this world)…he should shows his GRATEFULNESS, too.
