The Modern Web Is Bloated, Use Gemini Instead!

I think the biggest advantage of Gemini is that it is super light, you can probably set up a raspberry pi server which will serve thousands of readers without any problem, and it wouldn’t need a lot of bandwidth either. This lowers the cost of maintaining a website dramatically which is great for people who want to just do it as a hobby without spending money on expensive hosting solutions.

Any protocol (Or better said: web code) can be bloated, and Gemini will await no other fate if it becomes popular.
Web code bloating is because developers want to incorporate more and more functions in the webcode, even the code that is hardly ever used. But its loaded anyway.
The problem is not the protocol. The problem is the humans making the web code.

THey should make it easier to get into Gemini, for Noobies like me it´s just too much hassle compiling the Browser and stuff, I just learned how to install a .deb package.

It is not bloated at all, what are you talking about.The modern web does keep the unix philosphy in mind. IT does 1 thing and does it well. Keeps users on it and Makes money from them. It just needs to do all of these (bloated things to do it well). JK I loved your video.
