I have a Model Y LR, and I test-drove the Highland SR this weekend; I was very impressed, so much so that I ordered one.
The SR's range is only a few miles off the YLR's, and while it may not be as practical, my needs have changed.
No matter the version you have or are considering, these new changes will shape the industry.

Coinciding the Chinese New Year break to the factory upgrade to produce Model Y Juniper, is damn good. Mid year roll out would be scary to the rest of the EV industry!

I've been waiting for this version of the Tesla Model Y since Tesla Model Y was first manufactured.
A major iteration, after Lessons Learned, with batteries that aren't Antiquated lithium-ion technology.

This is the Tesla Model Y that people will be raving about.

Sam, What is your best guess for availability of the new Model Y in the US?

Could be an increase of 20% compared to the existing battery pack perhaps but that’s if Tesla will stick to the same amount of KWh in the pack. Elon is very clear on range not to have an unnecessary large amount of range. Instead they could lower the KWh in the pack for the same range and also loose some weight. Because the pack is the most expensive part this could mean more competitive pricing compared to say BYD.

Sounds pretty good for the new Juniper model Y. I will still stick with my 2023 Model Y LR for a while. I just got tired of waiting for the ideal vehicle. My model Y is enjoyable and meets all my driving requirements and needs.

Sorry, but I don't believe announcements of future products from Tesla. First, it has to go into actual mass production. Second, it has to prove that it's viable. I like dreams but I buy products.

Electric Viking: if Tesla comes up with a better (+20%) density battery as you claim they UNFORTUNATELY will install a smaller battery with the same amount of Kw and have a lighter, less expensive car to improve margin. I hope to be wrong.

This is Tesla marketing. New grill and tail lights just enough to make it look more fashionable. The Y is a great car. Once you drive it compared to the others it is no contest in any version.

The car is drive by wire,
Making it right handed is easy.
All you have to do is put the pedals and steering wheel in the other side.
There are no physical connection with the wheels.
In theory, you could it in the back seat or in the trunk, and it would make little difference from a technical perspective.

I think juniper model Y will be so good they will not need govt subsidies to sell even more of them but they MUST put catls 4c LFP batteries!!!! If they put in the 4c LFP batteries I will buy one for sure
