Guys, this isn't meant to a be a video saying "only wear this, never ever wear that". These types of tips can be informative to people who are beginners to fashion, and helping them see outfits in different ways. Good for you if you don't like to follow these rules, but don't disregard the video entirely just because you don't do the same things.

Confidence to me is what makes the most basic and simple outfit stunning on someone. If you wear a super beautiful outfit but you wear it without confidence it will automatically kill the look for me.

I am hourglass shaped (very busty and wide hipped) I look best in tighter form fitting clothing. When I wear loose clothes I look 30 lbs heavier and frumpy. It’s hard to figure out what to wear and look “current”

Point 2. really depends on a body type, I used to have a friend that was really skinny (despite eating twice as much as rest of us combined, lol) and she looked the best in all tight clothing, skinny pants and tight top, as it really complimented her body. If she worn a baggy or oversized piece she looked like a hanger under it, no matter pants or top.

On the other hand you can style loose/straight/cargo pants (I mean nice cargos, like young Avril Lavigne) with loose t-shirt. I h a t e having anything tight on my body as I want to rip it off as soon as I put it, so I used to look up to tomboy or some alt styles who do those combinations and all of them looked great. I had one tomboy friend as a kid and also was kinda jealous because whatever loose skater clothes she put on herself she always looked way better than anyone trying to be fashionable.

I used to be a model and the advice we got was very similar to this, but one extra thing was that you should suit you outfit to your activity.

Try to find stylish pants like that when you are 5’1” - it’s like looking for diamonds in your back yard!!

That burgundy top did look beautiful with the tonal brown, but I love pairing black with everything anyway!

Honestly, some of these tips can help even if you don't like wearing stereotypically stylish stuff. I use the tip about contrasting baggy/loose stuff all the time with casual gothic stuff and pastel harajuku stuff, and it does genuinely help pull my outfits together

Depends on your own body/bone structure. These 'rules' work for some people, not all.

I wear fancy clothes almost every day but my fancy clothes are sometimes more comfortable than jeans or other “casual clothes”. I barely leave the house but I still get dressed up and get ready everyday it really helps with my mental health. I find if I dress down I feel down.

The last tip was what i needed to hear. Invest more in casual wears and your everyday wear. Too often i say no to expensive sweatpants when i was shocked how much a good pair cost. But i KNOW i will wear it sooo much more often!
