The fact you improved your work so much in a year makes me wanna cry because it means it's not going to take fucking decades like I assumed.

I would say to not even bother with gesture, just learn to draw boxes, arrange them into perspective, with that alone you shortcut drawing with imagination, its literally power levelling art

I've been drawing for years, but you explain the fundamentals in such a clear and easy to follow way! I'm motivated to get back to the basics and strengthen my foundational skills again. Your channel deserves so much more attention, and I'm going to share your videos with my art circles to help 'em out too! 🙏Thank you for your hard work!

It's a great explanation from you. I always struggled about what i have to use squares or circles/ovals. I knew most of the time that the head has to be an oval or a square (depends if its a male or a female) but i didn't know about how to draw a convincing body, leaving a lot to instinct. But thanks to you now i understand whats going on. Keep it up and great work!😊

If I have learned nothing else in the year of 2023, I have learned that the answer to just about every question I've ever had sums up to "Well, that depends on what you're trying to do exactly."

That "4" explanation just unlocked a whole other way of thinking for me. I would try so many different ways to draw anatomy and try to make it my main for every drawing but that method would only work SOME of the time. It never occurred to me to mix and match them to fit each situation!!! AGH!

This channel is a Godsend. I’m not a terrible artist, on good days I’m great but I’ve always struggled with posing and anatomy. I’m making an effort to actually learn it now. I bought some Morpho books so I hope I can improve.

Thank you for making this journey seem relatable and achievable. It can seem overwhelming when you are first starting off. So it helps a lot of people to know they aren't the only one with some of these feelings. Once you make it past that mental barrier, you are on your way!

I've watched a number of your videos at this point, and the way you explain all of your own journey lands so much with me. Thank you for sharing and helping me to elevate myself. Now I have the hardest task.. "doing it" 😂

Just wanted to add to this, while I also learn from artists like Proko and Marc Brunett, the main thing I feel your videos help me with is my own self doubt in the process and direction. Marc is a fantastic teacher, but the disconnect I've thought about, is the lack of showing those early stages. I think this is the gap you're able to fill for me, you have your work from these earlier stages and share them openly as you speak about it, just further reinforcing the intent behind these studies and thus giving me confidence in what I'm doing.

Damn bro! I am learning poses just like you at the same time, kinda cool seeing someone who learns just as fast as I am. Everyone can learn fast if they put their mind up to the challenge. Mostly about muscle memory.

You stepped into my brain today and started cluttering and reorganizing, like Marie Condo. Thank you, Anime Charlie
