My uncle served aboard a Gearing-class destroyer in the '70s. He chuckled pretty heartily upon hearing of how easily it jacked up the Yamato in round.

Some of my highest XP destroyer games (3k +XP) have also been some of the lowest damage games at the same time. I'm talking 20-30k damage at most. Taking caps, providing spotting, and hot DD on DD action should be the core tenants everyone learns.

Very well said!!! I had a game the other day where i didnt get any damage till the end of the match, but i got 2 caps and kept the enemy ships spotted for teammates and help get rid of the enemy dd. GG

Staggering torps is definitely the way to go and how I got mine, been getting good with it. Now I need to practice locking into overview and keep firing, definitely not use to it.

I've started playing the hayate as a gunboat and I say its actually in the top three of the gunboats. Nice game, and great blindfires

I just un bureaucracied this ship, first game out, got 162k DMG, 2 caps, a dev strike, 13 defends and lost 80k silver.super fun to play. Absolutely devastated the enemy team. With all my accomplishments in my nailbiter match, I can't believe I had to lose silver to play it. I wish I had saved the video, I bet you would have enjoyed it. Went for torps and concealment for my build with gleaves. It just confounds me that legendary tier is so expensive.

Great tips and demo on DD play. It would be nice if they did their jobs vs. sailing the sideline to go torp BB’s or CV’s

First time I got the solo warrior was in a tier 2 St. Louis kiting in a 1v7 or so.

That was a nice match but Gearing needs buffs because Daring makes it obsolete as a gunboat while Halland and Shima are better for torps.

Imo Solo warrior is the hardest medal, for me at least. 2k battles and none yet :( only medal I don’t have.

I have 2 solo warriors but still do not have liquidator. I think Liquidator is harder because flooding affects speed of ship and I have seen 1 flood do more damage than 3 fires before.

Useful teammates are few and far lol. I had to hard carry in Brawl in my Boise. 3 games in a row, my allies went out full broadside shooting HE and caught a whole lotta AP in return. Idk what it is but Fiji, Yorck, and Schors players have a lot of skill issues.
