Winning at Hoth would be morale boosting for sure. Could even play against the Imperial propaganda if they’re clever.
However, the dilemma is they’d still have to ensconce because now the empire knows where their base is and would send more bodies and equipment.

1. What if Jyn Erso survived and went onto fall in love with Luke Skywalker?

3. What if cal and Merrin had a daughter?

The Rebels holding Hoth was tenuous at best. They were still setting up on Hoth, and were having supply issues. Okay, the Imperial fleet came out of hyper space too close to the system. But, the Rebels needed better shielding and more ion cannons. Had the imperial probe been intercepted cleanly, with no transmission, then things would have been more in the Rebels favour. An Imperial investigation force could have been dealt with by exsisting resources on Hoth.

The use of Empire at War gameplay is cool

Technically the rebellion won the battle of Hoth. The objective was to evacuate the base. Most of the rebellion left the base, and the Empire just conquered a planet already considered inhospitable to human life.

Something you could have added. The Rebels had time to winterize and adapt their military assets and infrastructure to the extreme conditions on Hoth. The Imperials didn't. Some of their mighty walkers shut down, making easy targets.
