when I was a Nursing student, one of my teacher was a Japanese and she was wonderful. The way she thought us is very gentle, detail and delicate specially on the bed care. I'm very grateful and blessed in my life had this Teacher.

I'm a carpenter 1-3mm is b/s for a hand plane, it's generally much thinner. Granted these Japanese tradesmen are producing incredibly thin shavings. most hand plane shavings would be somewhere around 0.25-0.5mm roughly. 1-3mm Exaggerated greatly
