Love your videos! I have a question on this one. When you specify a color as SPOT, does that not mean that it will get it's own plate (outside of process CMYK) when you send it to a commercial offset printer on which they will use an ink other than CMYK that is specified by the PMS number or other model? So it would be a flat PANTONE GREEN or Pantone 301c or "Facebook Blue, " for instance. Because that's what "spot color" means in the print world. You can select GLOBAL with process color instead of SPOT COLOR to have it change all the instances where it's used in that document when you change the swatch. And that way, it's still a pure CMYK process document. If you create spot colors in a document and then hit PRINT > OUTPUT, it will show you the plates (ink colors) used in your file. Spot colors are separate from process colors (CMYK) unless you click the "Convert All Spot Colors to Process" checkbox. And if you do that, it'll use it own crappy algorithm to convert it back to process color and you may not get the color you want. Thanks again. This may be the one instance where being an old fart who used to do a ton of print work might actually be an advantage. Ha! Thanks again.

Good video and all, but some of it was trailing off into information that isn't really needed.

Great Video. Just one question. If your document is in CMYK can we use HSB to inside the swatches panel to make colors. For ex. if i want more white in a color i use HSB mode to bring more white in. My question is, is it no longer CMYK? and will it change how it will look in print?
Also appreciate if you can do a more indepth video on print ready files. More on the percentages you talked about when making colors. (250%)
Cheers
