Lemon is so refreshing. My husband’s grandma taught me to make these and we’ve had a blast figuring out what flavors we like the best. We’ve even added mini chocolate chips to cherry ones before.

If you don't have cool whip you can also do oil or butter (1/4-1/2 cup) and 1 less egg than the box says, completely omit the water. Mix batter until the dough is formed, scoop portions and roll in powdered sugar or not (still good and less messy) bake on 375 for 7-9 mins. good.
Note: this can work for any flavored cake mix you like. Use vanilla cake and mix cinnamon and sugar to roll dough into for quick snicker doodles. Trust the process and
