I first saw this tip on Tales Coffee channel, but glad to see it here too. I actually have just been putting the filter into the dripper without a fold and then creasing the filter against the wall of the dripper while it's in there. That way, you don't have to estimate the correct angle to fold. It does take a few more seconds though.

Why don't V60 filters fit V60 cones as supplied? That seems very odd...

Why change the angle? Just over-fold it across the entire length equally. I do that with no issues.
