This Excel Video Tutorial shows you how to Freeze Panes in Excel. This allows you to keep a header row or column within the spreadsheet always visible when you are scrolling down or across the spreadsheet.

This is a great feature of Excel to use when working with large data sets, databases, employee lists, product lists, etc. where you have to do a lot of scrolling but still need to know what every column and row means and contains.

Have a great day!

I can't thank you enough. This has helped me so much. No more scrolling up and down or left and right anymore!

@TheGiselleBella Could it be that the rows are different sizes? Ahhh, sheesh. I will figure this out.

I thought I was insane, but I am not. My freeze pane button is not allowing me the option to use it. What have I possibly done wrong? Please help. Thanks a million
