💡Fun Electronics for Kids: Make Your Own Scribble Circuits!
Показать описание
The secret ingredient in scribble circuits is graphite… and creativity. So grab a pencil and try making your own!
You’ll need: graphite pencil, LED, 9V battery, paper
1: Sketch a simple shape. Leave two small gaps, one on either side.
2: Go back over your drawing to make the lines thick.
3: Bend the legs of the LED and tape it over one of the gaps.
4: Place the battery over the other gap and watch your scribble circuit shine!
In a circuit, electricity flows in a loop from the battery, around the circuit, and back to the battery. In our scribble circuit, we used the graphite found in pencils to create the “wires” for the electricity to travel along. The thickness and the length of the lines will change how well the circuit works and how brightly the LED glows.
(Pro tip: If your circuit doesn’t work, try turning the battery around. The +/- sides of the battery need to match the LED.)
