Texts from my teenager (ALONE) at the airport 🥲

5am morning routine as a mom of 7 kids and then spend a typical (yet, BUSY) weekend in our life as a mom with kids in competitive soccer & travel sports. Luckily for me, on the morning of our 3 hour drive I was visited by some intense back pain. After pouring through, we do it all over again the next day and end the night with picking up my teenage daughter from her flight home (alone) - to clarify, her dad went on the trip with her, they just took a different flight home because Lilia had to come back a little early for school the next day. So come with me as I explain the unaccompanied minor process for United (and our experience with Southwest) and give her a big fat welcome home from her quick trip to Washington DC at Awesomecon!

I came into my step daughters lives when they were 10 & 11 and due to them being abandoned by their mother they had serious trust issues with females so I longed to have a close relationship with them like Jess has with Lillia and it wasn’t until they were 18 & 19 that, that happened now we’re basically best friends they’re 27 & 28. Yep, I have slipped disc in my lower back. Sharp sharp pain . We bought a sleep number bed. It’s been a game changer ❤❤. I hope you feel better

I have a herniated disc in my back at L4-L5. When you get a flare up make sure to stand or lay. Sitting is the worst thing you can do when that disc gets inflamed. Make sure to ice your back as much as possible during a flare up. Ice will help reduce inflammation. Heating pads make inflammation worse so stay away from those! I still get flare ups as well, but I ice my back, I do core strengthening exercises, walk a lot, and see a chiropractor regularly and I’ve never had to have surgery on my disc since I’ve been taking care of it like that.

You should definitely get an inversion table!! It decompresses your spine and gives you so much relief!!
