agreed !! the best thing we ever did was to buy a bafang 750 watt conversion kit from e bay, first we use to use the peddle assist, as out legs got stronger, we used the peddle assist less and less, for the past 10 months we stopped using the peddle assist and i have peddled over 4, 000km !

My 500w Bafang mid-drive conversion on my 29” full suspension MTB was the best thing I could have done. I see the wattage peak at 800 watts at times. Triple bypass surgery required i make some positive lifestyle changes. I live around hills and mountains and a regular bike was too taxing. E-bike pedal assist is fun, not too taxing, building DIY cost 1/3 of new e-bikes, and looks really good.

Iv got a fat tire ebike too they are good but it claimed 100 mile range you'd be lucky to get 30 at 30mph

Conversions are all death traps. Fitted to bikes not made for those stresses, generally put on very low end bikes with super cheap flimsy components and aluminium frames that fatigue much faster with a kit fitted. Not even mentioning the likelihood of burning your house down.
