as someone who works at a bike shop, it’s 10 times easier and makes less mess to first seat the bead with no sealant and then add sealant in thru the valve stem

But i think it would be best remove the tyre entirely and check for contaminants and clean the edges of the rim and tyre so that theres less chance you need to start over.

current bike tek is designed to fail at the most cost possible. Better off with department store cheap bike tires they actually have side wall protection and aren't as thin as a balloon. Got a pair of new tires they lasted 3 rides before the sidewall tore out. Rode the cheap tires for 6 years and only replaced them for fun. Put the old ones back on and its been another another year only ever replaced one innertube in 8 years

The recommended sealant amount seams a bit excessive. 90ml for 29" 2.6 ist totally fine instead of 150ml. My Tire was airtight without the sealant, so the sealant is more of a puncture protection. last tire died after 4000 Miles because of a huge Glass Shard. Hope this helps for additional perspective on the Matter. 🤘
