That's an amazing pickup. I can't believe none of them got toned in there. That must be pretty well sealed tin. And yes the tin is also awesome.
I use to go rummaging. It's probably been about 5 years. Probably a good time to get back at it.

Awesome pickup. Love the old tin too! I always asks at garage sales if they have any coins but never find any. Nor can you find sterling. But I'd sure be a happy camper if I could find some goodies like that.

Nice pickup! I have never seen any silver coins at garage sales. Estate sales near me price everything high so I rarely ever stop by them anymore.

awesome find! My brother in law is in the antique business and has been for many years. He bought two cabinets of some kind at an estate sale once for $700 I believe. They were nice cabinets and I know almost nothing about antique furniture, but I feel he got a good deal on the cabinets. The thing is, there was a piece of wood lying on one of the tears in one of the cabinets. At first, he thought that it was just a board. When he went to inspect the item further after taking it home, he discovered the wood actually had a painting on it. He took it to have it appraised by someone he knew at the antique mall. Turns out the painting was 19th century Italy (I don't remember if he told me who the artist was). The guy that appraised the painting off the top of his head said it was about eleven hundred dollars. He moved to another state recently so I am not sure if he kept the painting or sold it

That is so cool. I had a similar experience with a guy sold me 9 liberty peace dollars and 2 older rare coins for a 100 dollars.

Great score!! I haven't found any coins at yard sales yet, but antique shops can hold some real deals! Some of those coins, especially the Morgans lack luster, do you think they were cleaned??
