The Australian one does still freak me out because it reminds me of the 2020 fires. There were some days when we’d walk outside and couldn’t see 10ft in front of ourselves for all the thick, black smoke. My cousin had been running a military cadets training camp and had to stop to turn the barracks into a safe home for fire refugees. Every evening, images of firetrucks speeding through roaring infernos played on the news, with that stupid, blasted, fkin alarm going off every couple of hours to let you know that everyone in Whyalla or Fingal or wherever had to leave now or die.

I'm chill with all of them, I've never had an actual tornado or hurricane or severe storm.
But I've had lots of alarms so I'm not scared at all.
But still on the lookout for disasters.

I gotta say, it's funny to see people say Norway has a really scary one. When the alarm is tested it's a LOT louder, but since I've heard it so much It's pretty mild to me, especially compared to Zambia or Egypt💀

The Australian one is used either for storm warnings or cyclone warnings.
Fun Fact: Cyclone Tracy was the worst cyclone ever recorded in Australia. It had speeds of 217 km/h till the reader was struck and disabled. It remains as the worst cyclone ever in Australian Cyclone History.

Honestly the thought of hearing any EAS alarm genuinely scares me more than anything else, but I mean that's the point
