The worst thing, imho, is that you can no longer buy the original ones on Steam. Three true masterpieces, among their best video games ever, replaced by these poor "definitive editions" missing the charm and aesthetics of the original games. It is as if they have disowned their own roots for profit.

If only this trilogy was remade inside gta v's engine and looked as good or better as gta v... But that will never happen any time soon.

The trilogy remasters launched in a bad state BUT I can honestly say the games are actually decent now that they've been patched. Playing through Vice City again for the first time since 2003 on my PS5 just feels amazing. The gameplay feels better thanks to tweaks to make it feel more modern. I'll say if you can find them on sale and you're a fan of the series then they're worth it 💯 percent.

Played San Andreas the other day and I noticed tyres in the roads floating through the floor and ramps not working and even waypoints not working they still don’t care about these games it’s mad

After the patches the games are more playable, so If you’re looking for a way to play the games on your modern console without modding or hacking it they’re all right. I have a feeling if rockstar worked on this and fully updated the games too look and feel like how Red dead II and GTA V feel, the definitive edition trilogy would of been viewed as our new gta game for the foreseeable future

You need to fix the bugs in your voice software, some words are way off. Hopefully Rockstar closes your studio and takes over themselves.

I played through all of the definitive editions on PS5. There's some glitches but overall it was mostly a smooth experience. I think a lot of it is issues from the old games that just never worked in the first place, like some of the weird missions etc. because back then game design was generally just worse than today. But it was great, first time I beat all 3 games since they were released oh so long ago.

I agreed with the last part: this games deserves a remake. A complete reimagination of the games. Maybe after GTA VI release Rockstar can work on a Remake. But the originals are already so good, even GTA III it's playable in 2023 and it's a great game.

we need an proper remake of these games with these features
-Swimming in gta 3 and VC
-more Enterable interiors in gta 3 such as night clubs malls and resturants (these buildings are found in game but are not enterable)
-Purchasable safe houses and businesses in gta 3
-More weapons in gta 3 (machine guns different kinds snipers and more melee weapons)
-Bikes in gta 3
-crouching in gta 3
-clothing customisation in gta 3 and VC (ik gta VC has it but i needs to be a gta SA like system)
-barbers and tatoors in VC and 3
-Ak 47 in VC
-GTA IV physics
-More air vehicles in VC and 3(helicopter hunter and stunt plane)
-Pizza missions in SA and 3
-Good citizen bonus in 3 and SA
-Gyms in 3 and VC (not a fat and muscle system but instead you can learn new combat moves)
-Driving schools in 3 and VC
-drinkable alcohol with a screen effect and drunk behaviour in all three games
-Other obvious improvements such as better character models and new graphics (not defective edition ones it has f#cked models and graphics are cartoony)
-car modding like gta 5
-redesigned menus (defective ones are not good enough)

Rockstar has all the resources and power to remake these games but i don't think they will do it because they have forgot about the games that brought them to this status and they are too busy milking absolute F#ck out of a 10 year old game that is 18+ but it is only played by 7 year olds

I would call these games "remasters" but more so Nostalgic Cash grabs with low effort. I'll be hesitant on buying anything released from Rockstar.
